Hi Pat, Thanks for getting back to me. I'm so late getting into all this, I never know whether I'll hear back or not. I wish everyone would post their findings back on the boards once they are solved.

I have not seen the Joseph/Rivard pairing to Jacques/LaVergne but that sure sounds like Gilles brother or one of the Louisiana families to me. I will do some digging and see what I can come up with.

Right now I'm mostly trying to track down the records or the folks who have access to them. The good news is alot of the hard work has already been done, but the bad news is where to look for this or that record hasn't changed.

I know you probably have this posted somewhere but I'll ask anyway, how are you related? Are you interested in working on your line again? Let me know--I have alot of info, maybe I can help you tie up loose ends. Email me directly if that's ok, while we sort out all the messy stuff.

Another lady on the board said she's from Phillipe Chauvin dit Joyeuse line and they mostly settled in Indiana area, her name is Ruth Joyce Kidder. I haven't done any work on that line but think it will help. Bye. Cindy
