Our family records contain an Alexander Harris (2/14/1843 - 10/14/1900)son of Moses Harris(possibly died at age 69 on 2/27/1877). He was married to Blanche Weysham (born 1862, married 11/22/1884) in New Orleans, La.(second wife of Alexander) with children Guy Charles (Carl) Harris, Walter Harris, Henry Harris, Allan Harris, John Winston Harris & Russell Stanley Harris. His marriage license indicates that he was born in Mobile, Ala. and moved to New Orleans at age 3.

Last week while visiting New Orleans I found out that Alex Harris was buried in the Charles Sagory tomb in St. Louis Cemetary #3 and transferred to the Harris tomb in Metairie on 12/21/1927. Based on his obit in the 10/15/1900 States, p. 3 col. 4 and my records, I believe that Alex Harris' first wife was Louise Sagory and that his full name was Charles Alexander Harris Sr. The children that you list for them track very closely with my records.

My mother Phyllis Harris Counce is the daughter of Guy Charles (Carl) Harris (who married Edith Avegno) of New Orleans.

Would be interested in any related family information you have ... especially about Charles Alexander Harris or Moses Harris or their ancestors.

Ed Counce
