The reason I am asking about this family of Chatterson, I feel the nephew listed, Samuel Campbell is possibly the man who married my g gf, John Andrew Johnson's eldest sister, who my gm knew only as Pearly Johnson Campbell.
My gm remembered that Pearl had married a Campbell and that her husband and the child they adopted had the same given name, Sam and the little boy named Sammy.
If anyone has connections to the above family, would you please reply here. I feel certain that Samuel Campbell may be the nephew of Samuel Jr Chatterson only by marriage, it may be thru the wife, Alice that Samuel Campbell is related. Anyone know anything about these folks?
I've looked for my g gf's sister Mary Pearl Johnson Campbell for decades without result, but today I found her and her Samuel Campbell husband in 1900 USFedCensus AR,Garland (Co.), Hot Springs (twp.) Ward 2, Hot Springs city, living on Grand Ave. Unfortunately, the following Census shows only the widowed husband and their adopted son, Samuel T. Campbell. At least, we now know that she died after 1900 but before 1910, which I didn't know before.
Any information about the Chatterson family might be helpful to fill in the details about this nephew named
Samuel Campbell who married our long lost Mary Pearl Johnson----I know not where but I will be looking in NE after finding this. Mary Pearl and her eldest brother were born in Iowa before the Johnson family (father b. Denmark, mother b. Il)moved from IA to KS, with the eldest son going off to Nebraska and getting married. Maybe his sister Mary Pearl was along to and she got married there as well.
Thanks for your time and attention. I appreciate any suggestions about this family.
