I want you to know that I am descended from a Chauncey/Adams marraige. My grandfather John Maxwell Chauncey born 1902 in St. John's Newfoundland Canada (son of Methodist Reverend George Chauncey) married Blanche Alberta Adams of Mckay Creek Oregon daughter of George Adams. We have always been told we are of the John Quincy Adams family
Most of us live in western Canada. The Newfoundland Chauncey
family was there for many generations and were supposed to be from America and Ireland and England. There is a link through the Edgar Taylor family in Newfoundland. Documents have shown up with old photos in Memorial University.
I hope this will help.
Patricia Kathleen Chauncey
