I believe we're related. In William H. Tuttle's book, "Names and Sketches of the Pioneer Settlers of Madison County, New York", there is the following concerning the Chauncey's;

CHAUNCEY, Isaac. Settled in Hamilton in 1801. Wife Jerusha died Jan. 8,1822, aged 74. Buried at Madison Lake.

Chauncey, Jeremiah. Resident of Hamilton in 1806.

I believe Jeremiah was there son. I also believe that Isaac Chauncey of Pompey, Onondaga County, New York was their son also. He was 74 years old on the 1850 census.

I also believe that my 4th great grandma, Sabrina Chauncey Moody (1779 MA-1851 Town of Smithfield, Madison County, New York) was also their daughter. Sabrina married my 4th g. grandpa, David Moody, III (1770-1846) after 1810 and had 3 sons; 1. Chauncey Ward Moody (1818-1891) [MY LINE], 2. William P. Moody (1820-1826), 3. James Adelbert Moody (1823-1902).

I Hope that this helps.
