Hi Cliff and Robert Chauncey!
The big hangup I have is where the Martin family and the Casey family came from. Dempsey Casey Jr. m. 1st Mary Chauncy and 2nd. Dicy Martin. From all the research I have done, it is possible that both the Martins and Caseys could have been in Maryland before going to VA > NC > TN etc. In the early days entire groups moved together. Thomas Crafts was an important man. His dau. m. Dempsey Casey Sr. in 1789. They were definitely related or well acquainted with a Martin family. Also Dosey (Dorsey); Sawyer; Ross.
