Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

This is why the genealogy forums are failing

Some of us who have been researching our ancestors for years, attempt to assist those that come along afterwords who need a "leg-up" to get started.

They sometimes request assistance at these BB's and/or forums, but fail to answer, or acknowledge (even appreciate) those that attempt to help.

This is a 'community' no-no.

Family genealogy is on the wane, and much of it has to do with disrespect for others!

Have fun...you new-bies...I will probably NOT respond to you in the future!
