From Calvin Chancey on back to Charles Chauncey and beyond to England came from two primary sources, #1 was the Memorials to the Chauncey's and #2 by Charles Clifton "Cliff" Chancey who's ancestors these are as well.

Cliff is very well educated and is a Professor in Physics at some college in Iowa, I have read...he is extremely thorough with his genealogy, and has done quite a lot of research concerning the West Virgina Chancey's.

You will still find some of his Chancey/Chauncey posts at various BBSes and forums here and there. He may not answer emails today concerning genealogy.. I suspect he has "moved on". I have written him a few times in the recent two years, but did not get an can try. Find one of his posts here at the Chancey forum and write ...see if you get a response.

Regards, Robert
