From Calvin Chancey on back to Charles Chauncey and beyond to England came from two primary sources, #1 was the Memorials to the Chauncey's and #2 by Charles Clifton "Cliff" Chancey who's ancestors these are as well.

Cliff is very well educated and is a Professor in Physics at some college in Iowa, I have read...he is extremely thorough with his genealogy, and has done quite a lot of research concerning the West Virgina Chancey's.

You will still find some of his Chancey/Chauncey posts at various BBSes and forums here and there. He may not answer emails today concerning genealogy.. I suspect he has "moved on". I have written him a few times in the recent two years, but did not get an answer...you can try. Find one of his posts here at the Chancey forum and write ...see if you get a response.

Regards, Robert
