Hi Betty - it's me again. Douglas Richardson in "Magna Carta Ancestry" p. 179: "John Chauncey Esq. of Pishobury (in Sawbridgeworth), and Gilston, Hertfordshire, and Skirpenbeck, Yorkshire, son and heir, born about 1408 (aged 40 in 1448). He married Anne Leventhorp, daughter of John Leventhorp, Esq., of Shinglehall (in Sawbridgeworth), Hertfordshire, M.P., Receiver -General of the Duchy of Lancaster, executor of the wills of Kings Henry IV and Henry V, by Katherine, daughter and heiress of William deRiley. They had two sons and six daughters. His wife, Anne, died 2 Dec. 1477. John Chauncey, Esq., died testate 27 April 1479. They were buried at Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire."
