Warren, from one of your posts to the Chancey forum, I notice your querry concerning Chauncey decendents in the south. I have a land sale record of a Thomas Chauncey, that had a land patent for 40 acres in Dale County, Alabama, in 1839. Sence there are few 'Chaunceys' in the south in the early years, there could be a connection here for you. I can email this record to you if you wish, it is a photocopy of the patent, and contains signitures.

Regards, Robert Chancey
