Dear Robert,
Thank you for filling in the empty space on Abial Adams. I'd been trying to chase down information on the Chauncey family for some time. Apparently the Chauncey family also married into the Prudden family fairly often. Peter Prudden is a direct lineal ancestor. A friend here has the name first name Prudden. We discovered that our respective families both descended from the Chas. Chauncey the elder and married Rev. Peter Prudden's children and grandchildren. It seems like clergy and scholarly families encouraged class marriages and hence had fewer "acceptable" families from which to choose.
