Hello Tomas,
Thank you for the additional Chavanas. Here is information I have on some Mobile Chavanas. Perhaps in some way they relate to yours.
Catherine3 DUBROCA (Hugue "Eugene" 8) was born in AL 1812. She married Vincent CHAVANA in Mobile Co., AL, April 17, 1834. Vincent was born about 1812, the son of John CHAVANNA and Claire PADILLE (or Padillo). Vincent's parentage is unclear though evidence suggests that it was John Chavanna. A John Chavanna is mentioned in the 1818 minutes of the Mobile Orphans Court as being designated as an appraiser. In early 1824 John was listed as a Court Secretary. In May 1824 his LWT was filed in the Orphans Court, which issued letters of administration to Dominique Salle, Esq., and Claire Padille. John's LWT stated "I give and bequeath unto Claire Paddille, the quartronne Woman who lives with me and who is the Mother of my children, all the property, both real and personal, of which I may die possessed."
Catherine DUBROCA and Vincent CHAVANA had the following children:
+        57        i.        Vincent4 CHAVANA, JR. was born January 8, 1839.
58        ii.        Hugo CHAVANA was born in Mobile, AL February 5, 1842.
Hugo CHAVANA, b. 1842, m. a Rosalie GOMEZ (not sure about her first name) in 1868, in Mobile.

Vincent CHAVANA, Jr. (b. 1839) and Mary Magdalena POLLARD had the following children:
142        ii.        Clara CHAVANA was born in AL 1869.
143        iii.        Odelia CHAVANA was born in AL September 1873. She married Xavier NICHOLAS in Mobile, AL, about 1896. Xavier was born in AL February 1872, the son of Ebenezer A. NICHOLAS and Artemise GURLIE

Of course I have the lineages of Vincent Chavana Jr.'s descendents if you are interested, but since his kids were all girls, the surname in his direct does not reappear. I don't have any information on Vincent's brother, Hugo's descendents though.
The photograph I mentioned is an old family photo from 1865 that my grandmother, Julia's daughter, had on her dresser. When she died I made a copy. It shows Mary Maydelena Pollard Chavana holding her toddler, Julia Chavana. I will try to download it, but I would have to have it copied onto a disk.
The Gwendolyn Midlo Hall databases are on line -- I have found them free. But I've seen them on CD. Since I found them on line, I think you can, but when I just tried today, they didn't come up so readily.
