Chavana & Rodriguez - Lampazos, NL, Coahuila, N Mexico, Texas
To anyone Interested I offer the following file:
Chavana - Lampazos, NL & Coahuila, Mexico & Texas.ged (35K). Contains over 200 names with roots overwhelmingly from Lampazos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Many date back to the mid-1700s and go through the early 1900's (I omitted dozens of living people in my family, primarily from San Antonio, TX and Monterrey). Primary migrations from Lampazos were to San Antonio, TX and Monterrey, but many remained in Lampazos and I have no contacts there. In terms of migrating in from somewhere else, there is one couple married in Lampazos in the late 1700's where both were from "Mexico" (presumably DF). Most of this information came from http://www.familysearch.com/ and family records. Note: Chabana evolved to Chavana.
I am also very interested in Rodrigues/z, related to Juan Rodriguez born in Lampazos about 1846.
