Hello.I am researching my family history as I am curious about the number of people in the USA with our surname. It is possible, though not certain, that the John Cheadle you are asking about could be my Great Grandfather, who I don't really remember.I think he died before I was born. The information I have is from my father who is 84 years old.I have no reason to doubt his recollections however as he has a fine mind.He tells me that his Grandfather,John could well have been born around the 1860s as his father(my Grandfather) was born in 1891.Further support for the possibility is that his father, also named John was an agricultural worker and also the family has alot of members living in Staffordshire. The John Cheadle in our family who was born in the 1860s had four children,my Grandfather John and Fred,Esther and Gladys.Although the person you are asking about may be a completely different John Cheadle the surname is not that common in the UK and the dates seem to tally.I hope this information is useful. Please let me know what you think.I may be able to dig ome more information for you.Best wishes,Andrew Cheadle.
