My great-grandmother was also Louisa Elizabeth Cheek. I have managed to find the Cheek family on the 1891 and 1901 censuses. In 1891 they are listed in Shoreditch. On the 1901, they are listed as Chick, and Louisa's entry says Louie Chick. She is 14 and a French polisher, born in Bethnal Green, parents William (bricklayer) and Hannah. She has a brother, Henry. William's birthplace says Cheshire, but I believe that it should say Cheshunt, Hertfordshire (about 20 miles or so north of Bethnal Green). William Cheek was born in Cheshunt (near Waltham Cross on the Essex boundary) in 1848, the son of John Cheek, a bricklayer, and Mary Killham. He has brothers John, Henry and Alfred. Henry can be found on the 1881 census, living in Bethnal Green (birthplace given as Essex). He, too, is a bricklayer.
I have 1851 census information, too, if you want it.
