Hi, Pat

Sure, I can send you my info. I don't know much, but am getting some useful information. My father was Sanford Earl Chesley, born in Edinburgh on March 28, 1928. His father was Sanford Frank Chesley born in Fort Fairfield (I think) in 1899. His father was Frank B. Chesley (I think the B stands for Benjamin) born in 1871 (I believe he was born in the Lincoln area, possibly Chester.)

That's as far back as I've gone so far, but I have another contact name for you. His name is William Chesley and he lives in Woodland. He has done extensive research on the Chesley family, going all the way back to the first settlers in the 1600's. He's my fourth cousin, i.e. my grandfather and his grandfather were cousins. His e-mail address is

Where are you living now? Are you originally from Maine? I'm living out in the San Francisco area right now.

Well, good luck with your search and let me know if you find out we're cousins or something!

All the Best,

Liz Kozma
