One of my stone walls has been scaled after 12 years of searching: my great grandmother was born a Davis in Brooksville, Maine. I have just started to research the female lines which has brought me to the Chesley family. So far I believe that Capt James Davis married Elizabeth Chesley 10 Oct 1688, she was the daughter of Thomas Chesley and Elizabeth Thomas; and grandaughter of Philip Chesley and Elizabeth Leighton. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks. Beverly Farnham Henry
