I have found a mention of Thomas and Nancy Chew in the 1860 Federal Census Warren County, Iowa (Washington Township). In the same household, there are two families; Thomas, Nancy & their children, Alfred (2) and Sarah J.M. (1); and John W. Chew, his wife Martha, and six children; William F. (13), Susan (11), James (9), Julia (7), Elizabeth (5) & Thomas (2).
Thomas was a carpenter and John a farmer. Can anyone confirm they are brothers?
