James Parker Chew 1832-1924

I am seeking the FATHER of the above named male Chew.
Here is what I do know:
James Parker Chew, b. 10 APR 1832 York Co., PA
d. 29 NOV 1924 Xenia, OH
Son of Mary Chapman Chew. I have James Parker Chew's death certificate and obituary. NONE of these items contain his father's name. Family lore has it that J.P.'s father was a country doctor and died just previous to his death.
Does anyone have a male Chew who died in the 9 months prior to APR 1832? There are some who make the assumption that this death took place in York Co., PA., but I am not positive this is the case.
I have been unsuccessful in my search for a marriage record for Mary Chapman and Mr. Chew.
Is there anyone on this forum who could possibly have an ancestor or something in your files that may assist me with this dilema?
Anyone out there? Your help greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance!
