Hi,
I am a descendent of Alexander Magruder, 1610-1677, born in Ballyclone, Maderty Parish, Perthshire, Scotland. He was an immigrant to the U.S. He is mentioned above. Some of your history is incorrect. According to my family's geneological research AND a Magruder DNA study that members of our family and the McGregor families did, Magruders are not directly related to the McGregors. We are more closely related to the McGrouthers. Magruders belong more in the Drummond clan than the McGregor clan.
