Hi Jimmy. I don't descend from Benjamin Chew, but do from Vernon Tilford Chew. He was born in Lexington, KY 8 Dec 1836, moved to Kansas City, MO with his parents. Was a surgeon in the Confederate Army. Moved to Fort Bend County, Texas, and left many descendants who are still there.

He was the son of Dr. Joseph Chew (b. 1812) and Mary Lamme (b. 1813). Joseph was the son of Joseph Chew (b. 1769) and Mary Winslow (b. 1773) of Spotsylvania Co, VA....

Please let me know if you would like any other information on them.
