Richard, am going to start with the parents of Wilford and end with a Richard Nelson Chew

John Chew, b.1830 Ohio, mrd. Agnes Jane Miles b.1834 in KY. John died 1899, settled in Southport Ind and is buried South of Southport. 7 children, Willis b.1856, Wilford b. Nov 11 1857 or 8, Isabell 9/12/1860, John W 1872, Letitia 1866, Norm M ?, Jeanette ? All born in Indiana.

Wilford Chew married Rosaphene Caldwell b 7/5/1859.
2 children, Edward b.1878, Ira A. b.1880 lived near Indianapolis

Ira A Chew, son of Wilford, b.4/17/1880, Marion Co Ind. Married Blanch H Browning of Marion Co. on 11/14/1906, died
1940, buried Union Chapel, little red church in the Wildwood. One child Richard N. Chew

Richard Nelson Chew married Rosa Elizabeth Pence of Greencasle Ind on 12/1/1934.

When I saw the name Wilford, I started searching thru 65 year old Chew research papers that had been sent to my Grandmother in the late 40's by an Indiana Chew. I took a long shot guess that you are related to Richard N so that is why I included everything. If you are, the Va. Chew who came West and started this line, is a brother to the Va. Chew who started my present Ohio Line. Hope this is a help to you. Bob Blue, Chillicothe, Ohio
