Hi Daphne,

There's a long time since I'vent heard of you :)
After years of researches I've learned that at the begining Our family name was not CHILD, but GOODCHILD :)

(...)

Francis GOOGCHILD changed his name on CHILD....it's another story, anyway.
I need your help (again).

Our ancestor Robert CHILD who died in London, Russell square on October 1837 aged 57 had two brothers:
-Samuel Preston CHILD (1788-1869)
-Thomas CHILD ( ? - ? )

Robert 's wife was Harriot CHILD, maiden name GAY who died in 1857 was born in Nordborough.

Robert, Samuel Preston and Thomas were probably Samuel CHILD (born circa 1750)'s children.
Samuel CHILD was a ver famous dry cleaner merchand for British Army ans East India Company.

My questions are:

Do you think you could be able to find out:

-Samuel Preston
-Thomas
-Robert

birth 's certificates ?

Thanks a lot

Regards
Olivier
