Wolstone CHILDE - Ancestor of Queen Elizabeth II?
Posted by: Donald Erlenkotter (ID *****1039) Date: July 07, 2011 at 10:12:35
of 468 indicates that Wolstone CHILDE is an ancestor of Queen Elizabeth II, as shown on their site at

They give the following:

1. Wolstone CHILDE m. Ellen EMPSON

2. Rev. Benjamin CHILDE m. Sarah SHENTON

3. Elizabeth CHILDE m. Rev. James BRADSHAW

In the ancestral information I have found for Queen Elizabeth II, the wife of Rev. James BRADSHAW is indicated as unknown. Is there any information that would establish her as Elizabeth CHILDE, and that this Elizabeth was the daughter of Rev. Benjamin CHILDE?

I know that there was a Bradshaw will naming all of Wolstone's children, including a daughter Elizabeth, but this would appear to be too early by a generation or two to help out here.

Any information would be much appreciated!
