Solomon Childers, WV, Civil War era

Looking for descendents of Solomon Childers, who lived in Putnam County, then Virginia, now West Virginia, during the Civil War. My great grandfather, Jesse A. Kelley, served as his paid substitute in the Union Army. (It appears for $300.) My grandfather lived long after as a veteran, so the ending was a happy one, and our families have an unusual connection. I recently claimed my Grandfather's Civil War medal held since 1867 by the State of West Virginia. I'd be glad to share copies of the papers where he was paid to be Childers' substitute.
