I have a question for those who are researching the family of Joel Green Childers and Nancy E. Smith: Why does Other M. Childers not apppear in any of the family trees? He appears in the 1930 census in Rison, Arkansas, and is not found again with the name "Other" in any records I can find. Did he not live to adulthood?
I believe Other is pronounced Oh-thur, a variant of the British Arthur or Uther.
This Childers family ties in to my uncle's branch of the Smith family, which is how I came across them, and I'd like, for my own curiosity, to know what happened to Other. Thanks for any help and guidance from the Childers researchers on this point. ;-)
