I have seen records for Robert and thought the same thing. I also have Elizabeth Childers and Jacob Moore having a daughter; Nancy "Carrie" Cason Moore 1852-1923. I have found that a Koon (from Dad's side) married a Slappey (from my mom's side) It was exciting to find that information and it looks like the Childer's married into the Koon family long before my Great Grandmother (Clara Eastridge, daughter of Susan A Koon and Dixie (Bud) Eastridge (Estes))married a Childers. I don't know if it's the same Koon line. I still haven't been able to prove anything for Robert but I will continue to do more research. Thank you so much for your information. If I am able to find anymore on Robert or other Childers I will let you know.
