Imogene Childers--Daugher of James Monroe Childers
Posted by: Lee Ann Bailey (ID *****0636) Date: September 28, 2011 at 11:08:20

I am looking for Imogene Childers, daughter of James Monroe Childers (my great uncle), born August 11, 1888, in Pearl, TX and died January 14, 1923 in Waxahachie, TX but was buried in Sherman, TX. He was divorced at the time of his death, and his wife's name is unknown to me. He had a daughter named Imogene, and it is Imogene and her descendants that I am hopeful of finding.

Known by family and friends as "Monroe", he served in WWI from May 7, 1918 to December 24, 1918. He died of pneumonia. His death certificate shows his occupation to be that of a well driller but misspells his last name as "Childress." He was the son of Lovic Pierce Childers, Sr and Sarah Franks Childers. He had two brothers and four sisters.
