I took a brief look at one of the articles by your aunt Harriett A. Chilton on the Chilton family, dated 4 July 1976, at

The material covering the first five generations is about 80 percent correct, but in addition to several errors that I noted, there were numerous omissions of critical parts of the history of this family. The definitive work on the early generations of the Chilton family of Virginia was published by John Frederick Dorman, FASG, from 1967 to 1972. I presume that your aunt would have consulted this work, because Mr. Dorman has been one of the preeminent genealogists in Virginia for almost fifty years.
