Anyone familiar with this family?

A Mary Chipchase married a James Mellenby in 1789, in St. John's Parish, Elton, County Durham. Elton is about three miles west and across the Tees River from Thornaby. Mary may be the Mary Chipchase born on October 31, 1763, in South Shields, County Durham, to Thomas and Elizabeth Chipchase. James and Mary had seven children while living in the town of Hutton Rudby.
