There is very clear proof that the only child of Lydia Bushrod and Edmund Chisman died as a child and had no descendants. I can look up the court reference for you if you need it.I believe you are confusing the Thomases here, and that the Thomas you called Lydia's child was the son of Edmund Chisman the immigrant and his wife, Mary (Maulson) Lilly, the widow of John Lilly. Lydia Bushrod married Edmund Jr., who was involved in Bacon's Rebellion and who died in prison, awaiting execution for his participation in the rebellion.
