Hello Barbara, I have hunted through A LOT OF NAMES and the only person that is remotely near is. JAMES CLAYTON CHORLTON 1848-1933 married to SARAH ELIZABETH BOWDEN . They lived at THE PRIORY FOG LANE DIDSBURY M/CHESTER.He was the founder of CHORLTON BROS. WHOLESALE CLOTHIERS and Grandmas cousins . He descends from THE CHORLTONS YEOMEN AND LANDOWNERS. Sorry if this isn't what you are loking for but keep on file as there aren't many Chorlton researchers. Regards Sheila.
