When was your John Christ born?
My John Christ was born in 1864 in Germany.
He lived and worked in Manhattan, New York.
He died in New Jersey 1936.
My John Christ has the following siblings:
Anna Christ
Elizabeth Christ
Emma Christ
Katheryn Christ
George Christ
Charles Christ
and possibly other siblings that stayed in Germany.
My father stated before he died that we are German/Swiss.
We have been Y DNA tested and are haplogroup I1.
Contact me if you think we could be related.
Sometimes the men married more than once especially if a wife died in childbirth or they divorced or if the men just left the state due to lack paying jobs leaving them unable to support their families.
How many John Christs are there in the USA?
I found dozens of women with my given and surname here in the USA and throughout history in past generations.
Very odd to say the least.
