George Christ b 1860 Germany

My great-grandfather George Christ who emigrated from Germany to New York according to oral history because he was a socialist, leaving from Hamburg or Breman. He married Catherine/Katie Iloff/Eiloff before 1885 in the German Lutheran Church-- in Brooklyn according to my father. In the 1892 census he worked as a "miller." The family lived on Boerem St in Brooklyn Kings NY. He died between 1892 and i898 in New York. It is possible he was listed on the 1880 census also in New York unmarried and working in a barber shop. I have lots of information on the Iloff side of the family but none on the Christ side before the 1892 census.
