Am seeking the name of my great, great grandfather CHRIST.
He came from Germany or Alsace-Lorraine area.
One of his sons is John Christ.
This Christ male line has been Y DNA tested and is "I1"
Haplogroup.
John Christ lived in Manhattan, NY and might have been born in NY but his father was not. John Christ was born in 1864-1866 and died in NJ October 31, 1936. John had two sons, William Charles Christ and Herbert George Christ.
William was born in 1891 and Herbert was born in 1898.
The last address of Herbert G. Christ was 8402 Margate City, Atlantic, NJ. He was a private WWII Oct. 1, 1942 was married and weighted 166 lbs and was 5'9" tall.
William C. Christ, (my grandfather) was med. build, 5' 10.5" tall, with blue eyes and black hair. William married Desideria E. Harlin whose mother is Louisa Anderson from Uppsala, Sweden.

Am curious about the Raab family as one of my friends is married to a Byron Raab. They live in Marinette, WI.
Would like to find the father and mother of John Christ.
John's father might have been either a jeweler or a taylor.
