Please contact me. My Charles CHRIST b. 1850 in Alsace?/or more likely Germany ... in 1880 was at Corning (Perry) Ohio with his wife Frances Philumena "Minnie" SCHMELZER and their first two sons, Charles and Pawley (Paul?). He was a blacksmith. She was born at Geneva (Fairfield) Ohio. I have recently learned that her grandmother was Maria Walburga CHRIST married to Blausius SCHMELZER at Ornbau (Bavaria) Germany. Who and Where were your CHRISTs in Fairfield County. My grandfather, the youngest child (No. 5) of Charles and Minnie was born in 1893 at Columbus Ohio.
