I am seeking information on Maria Walburga CHRIST, b. May 1, 1795 and married in 1816 at
Ornbau to Jacob Blausius Schmelzer, born Feb. 3, 1795 to Josef SCHMELZER born at Orbau and
his wife Maria EFF. Maria Walburga (CHRIST) SCHMELZER died 1878 in Ohio. Her
grandaughter, Frances Philumena SCHMELZER b. October 15, 1857 married Charles CHRIST
born in Germany. In 1880 census for Corning Ohio they are listed with two children, Charles and
Pawley (Paul) age 1. Is there a link between these CHRISTS and Joseph CHRIST, son of Anton
CHRIST and Walburga WIEDEMANN. He married Genoveva CHRIST, born July 29, 1816 in
Germany to Simon CHRIST and Theresia BERGWAELLER. Their child, Ann Maria CHRIST, b.Sept. 16, 1844 in Herrieden, Bavaria, Germany ... only four miles from Burgoberbach. She married
Franz Xavier KRIMMER January 28, 1869 at Neunstetten, Bavaria, Germany.
