I also am researching the Christ name from Alsace Lorraine. Mine was John Peter Christ born 1824. I don't know when he entered the country but he had a child that died at a very young age in New York. He married Marie Lynn (no maiden name) from Darmstadt Germany.They bought propterty in Fond du Lac, WI in May 1857 and had 12 more children. They weren't all born in Fond du Lac how some ever and haven't found the exact pattern of their travels from New York. I don't know if he had any other relatives that came over. Just thought I would drop you a line in case this name sounded familiar.
Maybe they were siblings.
