My g.grandmother's autograph book is signed:
"Dear Minnie,
"May you be respected"
"Where'ever you go" and at last be
Selected by a handsome young
"Yours truly"
"Katie Christ"
May 31st "1879"
I've left Katie's punctuation, she loved quotation marks and scattered them everywhere. She also made multiple flourishes on her caps. She pasted a little Geo. Washington sticker with a cartoon balloon saying, "love," and a flower sticker above which she has added "faith." My g.grandmother was 12 years old at this time, Katie was probably a friend of similar age.
