I am so glad to have heard from someone with the Christ ancestry. Let me see if I can answer your questions.

I have that Adam I was born 12 Nov 1752 in Lancaster, PA, but I am not sure where that information came from. Your information about 10 years earlier in Bavaria could be just as true. Maybe he came over as a baby, settling in Lancaster Co., PA. If so, then we should be able to find out who his father was. If he came over as an adult, it could be more difficult.

I have no knowledge of Adam II's siblings so it would be interesting to follow up on what you have. Do I understand from your note that George Washington Christ was a brother to my Adam II, and that there was a brother named John and a sister Maria? That is so much more than I knew! Did you know of a sibling named Adam II?

The marriage date I have is Dec 1777/78 in Union Co., PA (or possibly Northumberland Co). I believe that information may have come from one of the books I found on the Follmer family, where Elizabeth's line goes back to Germany.

Do you have Adam I's death date as 17 May 1808 in Buffalo Valley, Union Co., PA?

Do you have any information of his parents?

I would love to have more of the details of the siblings, if you would let me share with you. I will try to dig a little deeper into some of my paper files to see if there are some stories. I know I have several about Adam II and his wife Martha Dentler.

Stay in touch. My e-mail address is fwalker@ruralhealth.org.
