I've traced my Chrzanowski line back to pre 1800 Poland. They were fishermen and later shoemakers. Some still live in Znin. Znin is a beautiful lake region in Poland but has been occupied by Germany and Prussia. The district name was Posen, Poznan, and now Kujava- Pomorskie.
My grandfather Stanislaw was born in 1875, immigrated in 1890. He had about 6 older half siblings, no siblings who were Chrzanowskis, 6 Cysdorf half siblings,
Andrzej, his father was widowed. His first wife was Helena Markowska, my grandmother was Josefa Cysdorf, awidow with 6 children.
The father of Andrzej was Francszek.
