Looking for anyone who might have a connection to the german speaking Tschopp/Chubb family that originated from Switzerland and lived in Lebanon Co., Schaefferstown, PA and later in Northumberland Co., PA. Part of the family moved to Coshocton Co., OH (Henry Tschopp, Sr.born Feb. 16, 1799, also spelled Chubb and Chub). Henry had three known brothers: Frederick, John and Jacob, who were prob. born near his birth. Henry's children ended primarily in IN, but also, in IA and OH. While in Coshocton Co., OH the Tschopp family was Brethren and Henry is buried in the Halifax United Brethren Cemetery in Coshocton Co. with the spelling. Among the Chubbs known to live in the Halfiax area were: John, Daniel, Hiram, Jeremiah, David, Samuel, and Phillip Chubb.
Another of the Tschopp line stayed in PA, used the Tschopp spelling a was Catholic.
