Deborah, Thank you for posting the message that I added a correction to the article about George Shoop and his wife, Elizabeth Chubb,in "Iowa Its History and Tradition, Volume III, 1804-1926." I just want to briefly add the correct information here. The information about Elizabeth Chubb's parents and her birth date and birthplace as shown in that article is incorrect.

George F. Shoop was born April 2, 1844 in Harrisburg, PA, and he died May 27, 1927 in Ida Grove, Ida County, Iowa. His first wife, Elizabeth Chubb, who was born December 2, 1847 near Harrisburg, PA, died on January 10, 1913 in Arthur, Ida County, Iowa. Elizabeth was the daughter of Samuel Chubb, 1818-1903, and Hannah Lutz, 1824-1858, of Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin Co., PA. George and Elizabeth had nine children. Following Elizabeth's death in 1913, George remarried to Mrs. Emma (Scaplen) Pack Reynolds in 1915. George and Elizabeth (Chubb) Shoop are my great-grandparents.

Thanks.
