My brother posted a message (#316)regarding Samuel Chubb, 1818-1903, who lived in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County, PA. Samuel and his first wife, Hannah Lutz, 1824-1858, were living in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County in 1850. They moved to Lower Paxton Township in the 1850's. After Hannah's death, Samuel remarried to (2) Sarah, 1834-1886, and (3) Susannah Lyter, 1836-1907. The 1880 Census of Dauphin County shows that Samuel's sister, Mary, age 67, was living with Samuel and Sarah. Samuel and some of his family members were buried at the Paxton Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Lower Paxton Township.
A Henry Chub is listed in the 1790 Census of Dauphin County, PA. Henry Chubb and Daniel Chubb are listed in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County at the time of the 1810 Census. And a Henry Chubb is found in Mifflin Township, Dauphin County at the time of 1830 Census.
Is Samuel Chubb related to Henry Chubb or Daniel Chubb of East Hanover Township? Does anyone have information about the family of Henry Chub, who is listed in the 1790 Census of Dauphin County?
