Probably a very different Travers. But my Great grandmother, Anne Harriet Boyle Travers Chubb was born 1829 in St. Servan in France and married Charles Chubb in 1853. Her Father was a Captain Boyle Travers born in County Cork Ireland. Capt Travers lived in Cheriton Kent and was married to Caroline Drake Brockman in 1814, they had 4 sons , William Looke, John Henry, James and Julius as well as 4 daughters; Eliza, Caroline Fanny, Caroline and Anne Harriet.
I have researched many of the Chubb's and associated families, but haven't paid much attention to the Travers side before Capt Boyle Travers. On the Chubb side I have gone back to Dr William Chubb who was born in Millbrook Cornwall in 1781 and I presume that there must be more in that area. Most of the Chubb's on my side of the family were either Doctors or Solicitors.
Our Edith Chubb married another Drake-Brockman in 1878.
