Do your records show a Mary Churchill as the daughter of a William Churchill?

This is not my own research, I've seen others who "think" Mary is the daughter of William Churchill. Records do show Roger Jones and wife Mary had a baby at the home of William Churchill and baby was christened on the same day. So, they felt a couple wouldn't go to someone's home to have a baby christened on the same day it was born, unless they already were there. This baby may have died young as Roger and Mary later have another daughter by the same name.

I mainly am looking for a connection of my Thomas Jones to the Thomas Jones who married Hannah Upshaw. I think there is something missing in that connection. Researchers show my Thomas born 1735 in Henry Co, VA, but that county wasn't even formed until 1777. My Thomas did have land on the Pigg River, which shows up in several county records, including Henry Co, as the boundaries changed.

I'm just throwing out bits and pieces to see if someone can build on them, or help me.

Thank you for your response. (^_^)
