Thank you for sharing your information. I started out "fishing" to see if I could find more on material I'd seen elsewhere showing Roger Jones had a son named Thomas who married Mary Upshaw. Supposedly they had a son named Thomas and that's where the information seems to get crossed up. A researcher along the line has tucked my Thomas in there and I was trying to find someone currently working on that branch of Jones to get sources etc.

I don't know when my Thomas was born. He died 1818 in Anderson Co, TN. But he originally had land on the Pigg River in VA. I had to do a family tree on the counties as they changed so often. The river ended up in Franklin Co, VA, but apparently went back as far as early Goochland Co, VA. Wife of my Thomas was Mary, maiden name unknown at this time. I have the names of his children, who they married and more, if anyone out there is interested.

Again, thank you for sharing.
