For information Churchill Family in America has slightly differen information. CFA, as it was called, was published in 1904 by the family of Gardner A. Churchill. Gardner was the head of a group of Churchill researchers which started their research in 1882. They published after the turn of the century. I inherited one of the books. Your William Churchill who married Mary Libby is included.

Parent of William was SPRAGUE CHURCHILL (CFA#332)
SPRAGUE6, JOSEPH5, PEREZ4, BENJAMINE3, WILLIAM2, JOHN1 and Harriet Holms, daughter of Captain Lemuel. They are what is known as Plymouth (colony) Churchills. Their American progenitor was a John Churchill who first showed up in the American Plymouth Colony in 1643. This John1 of Plymouth was an English Churchill of the English Devon Family. Their Line is documented back to Normandy in the time before the Conquest.

Sprague Churchill's first son William b. 5 Sep 1814 m. Marry Libby, 30 Nov 1841.
