There must be a million Churchill and Benjamin families in the United State so please excuse the Coincidence.
The Benjamin family I am following is Judah Benjamin and the Churchill's I am following are the Churchill family of Meriwether Lewis Clark. Both of these families have real strong connections to CSA President Jefferson Davis and then Aaron Burr who defended the Land Patent of Paltz NY.
These families were known to be connected to President Martin Van Buren who lived up the road a bit from Paltz NY.
