Do you have the census records for Emma Rosina and James? In some she is listed as Rosina and in some she is Emma.

With parent's names I looked for James in earlier census - there is a James Churchill in Wisconsin in 1860, right age - 12 so born 1848 and born Canada but he is not with his parents.

J., age 80, born Ireland

Frances, age 68, born Ireland

next door

James, age 25, born Ireland

Mary A., age 23, born Ireland

Joseph, age 4, born WI

Sarah, age 2, born WI

Frances, age 5/12, born WI

James, age 12, born Canada West

So as he is listed after all the others and born Canada I suspect he is either a brother to James or maybe a cousin or nephew ??

I don't know for sure that this is the same James who married Emma but am giving it to you just in case. I have not been able to find James with parents in WI or Canada.
